If for some reason it is not possible to use a suspended door system, or if it is not possible to sink the lower rail into the floor, it is possible to use a classic lower rail stuck to the floor with contact adhesive, or to place the rail on a raised plinth of the cabinet. The plinth of the cabinet is recommended where there is a large amount of coarse dirt that would fit into the grooves of the rail, or of course where it completes the symmetry of the built-in cabinet.
